James Michael Stewart has been working with computers for over seventeen years. However, his professional career in this field started in 1992. Michael is currently a full-time writer, trainer, and researcher for LANWrights, Inc. His work focuses on Windows NT/2000/XP/.NET, intranets, and the Internet.
Michael has co-authored numerous books on Microsoft certification and administration. He has written articles for numerous print and online publications, including C|Net, InfoWorld, Windows NT Magazine, NetGuide, I-Way, and Datamation. He has moderated several training, study, and discussion groups both online and off focusing on Windows NT, Web design, and MCSE certification.
Michael has been developing MCSE-level courseware and training materials; including both print and online publication, as well as classroom presentation of NT training materials. He has been an MCSE since 1997.
Michael graduated in 1992 from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy. Despite his degree, his computer knowledge is self-acquired, based on almost 17 years of hands-on experience. Michael has been active on the Internet for quite some time, where most people know him by his "nom de wire" as McIntyre. He spends his spare time reading, Texas two-stepping, cycling, woodworking, and managing his tenants as a slumlord.
